Please explain why I should have to pay for anyone anytime.
Stop the benefits today. Introduce a $10,000 baby charge -
parents must pay $10,000 if they have a baby or the baby
is aborted (post birth if necessary).
If people choose not to work, or choose not to have money, or choose to starve
it’s their own fucking problem.
Just in case anyone is thinking the previous posters suggestion of $10k for a baby is ridiculous: I used to live overseas where taxation is much lower but healthcare is not socialized. No health-insurance providers pay for childbirth since it is classed as voluntary - and the cost is about NZ$6,000.
Okay so $10k is still a bit exaggerated but the point is, in NZ you are helping to pay for other people to have babies, and it’s not cheap. Would you be ok with the government giving me $6k for a new car?
Note that the baby wouldn’t have to be aborted - if someone else, a charity, someone wanting to adopt could find that $10K, then that’s OK and they can keep the baby too.
(and yes, I’d advocate for Singapore-style family responsibility act: parents are legally and financially responsible for their children until the children turn 20; and children are legally and financially responsible for their parents once their parents turn say 70).

actually it’s a bit more complicated than they: you get the car and the
bg-screen TV on HP, and the gummit gives you money when you can’t
pay the loan shark!!! (heh heh heh)
oh yeah, and the gummint stops the nasty power company turning your power off
if you like in South Auckland (but turns off your power if you’re an Aluminium Smelter)
